Foreign Operators
The Republic of Turkiye is a member of CEPT. An amateur radio operator conforming to CEPT TR61-01 can operate with the TA prefix and call area number. You can review the TA regions on the map below. For example, the European and Asian continents of Istanbul are different regions. If you are on the European continent, for example, you should use TA1/W7AOF. (for Asia, TA2/ZD8HZ). You must use a region number in Turkiye. Call signs like TA/K1ADV should not be used. For example, TA0 for islands should be used and TA4/K1ADV for Antalya city.
Amateurs holding a CEPT license can temporarily bring their own equipment without paying customs fees.please print the official texts in the links. Keep a copy of your radio license with you. It is useful to have a form with you with the technical information of your radios and antennas.
